Privacy policy

Effective October 5, 2026 · NomadTime for iPhone and iPad

NomadTime helps you compare time zones and keep personal places. It does not require an account, show ads, or sell personal data.

Information on your device

Your clocks, named ranges, settings, personal pins, labels, notes, and imported photos are saved locally. NomadTime does not upload this content to a developer-operated server and has no account-based cloud sync. Your device's backup settings may include app data in an Apple or computer backup.

When you choose a photo, the app makes local resized copies for display. It does not request camera or microphone access. Calendar access is optional and read-only: event titles and times are processed on device to show schedules and overlaps. Selected calendar identifiers are saved locally; event details are not uploaded by NomadTime. The app does not read reminders.

Optional location

If you choose Use my location and grant permission, NomadTime uses a foreground location reading to find the nearest place in its on-device catalog. You can choose a city manually instead. The app does not perform background location tracking or send the raw GPS reading to NomadTime's developer.

Weather and map services

Weather comes directly from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway). Requests include a place's coordinates rounded to one decimal place, your network IP address, and an application identifier. A place may be your local city or somewhere you are comparing. MET Norway states that it logs IP addresses and requested coordinates; these requests are therefore not anonymous. Its own retention and privacy practices apply. See MET Norway's service and privacy information.

The iOS map uses Apple MapKit. Apple receives the requests needed to display map areas under its own policies. NomadTime does not send your pin notes or personal photos to the map provider. See Apple Maps and Privacy.

Support and external links

If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and resolve your request, retain them as needed for support and applicable obligations, and do not add you to marketing lists. Email is handled by our email provider. You may request deletion by contacting us.

Links to photo credits, licenses, this site, and other websites open external services with their own privacy practices. These NomadTime pages are hosted on Vercel at aliawilkinson.com. Vercel may process connection information such as your IP address to deliver and protect the website. The NomadTime overview, support, and privacy pages contain no advertising or analytics scripts. Other areas of the portfolio may use separate services. See Vercel’s privacy policy.

Tracking and diagnostics

NomadTime contains no advertising or cross-app tracking SDK and does not request the advertising identifier. Apple may collect or share app diagnostics according to your device and App Store/TestFlight settings. We do not operate a separate analytics or crash-reporting service.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or remove individual saved records in the app and revoke location or calendar permissions in iOS Settings. You may remove imported photos without deleting the originals from your photo library. Deleting the app removes its local app data; backups may retain copies under your backup settings. We cannot recover local-only memories from a NomadTime server. This policy covers the iOS app; data you deliberately export or share is handled by the destination you choose.
